Why C/SiC

Four practical reasons to upgrade

The customer benefit is easier to understand as a concise summary than as another long comparison table.

Assembly weight

Potentially much lower; compare approved assembly weights

Temperature resistance

Application target can reach approximately 1,400°C; specification dependent

Corrosion

C/SiC friction ring is highly corrosion resistant

Brake dust

Can be lower with the matched compound

VIN, brakes, wheels and rear EPB

One engineering approval process

All compatibility conditions are handled here once. The written decision controls the final components and production specification.

  1. 01

    Vehicle record

Receive the VIN and confirm the exact Phantom VIII generation or body style, production month and regional specification.

  2. 02

    Brake and wheel evidence

Record the current OE rotor, caliper, pad and rear-brake arrangement. Check spoke and barrel clearance using measurements and the supplied template.

  3. 03

    System review

Verify rear electronic parking-brake integration and retained functions. Review rotor, bell, pad, caliper and hydraulic relationships as one system.

  4. 04

    Written specification

Issue the written fitment decision, final quotation and production specification.

Product and manufacturing record

Manufacturing references stay clearly separated

No Phantom VIII product record is presented as installed-vehicle evidence. General manufacturing references explain only the shared C/SiC process.

Manufacturing stage 01

Carbon-Fibre Material Preparation

Prepare and control carbon-fibre material before the rotor preform is formed.

Carbon-ceramic rotor mounted for precision CNC machining

Manufacturing stage 05

Precision CNC Machining

Machine the approved diameter, thickness, mounting positions, ventilation and friction surfaces.

Made to order

Production begins only after fitment approval and confirmation of the written component schedule.

Worldwide delivery

Protective export packing with air or sea freight options to the confirmed destination.

Professional installation

A qualified brake technician must complete installation, fluid work, torque, runout and clearance checks.

Phantom VIII-specific FAQs

Questions to resolve before ordering

Six focused answers cover the generation, factory-caliper, wheel-clearance and rear-EPB decisions.

Is a 22-inch wheel automatically compatible?

No. Approximately 22 inches is a working recommendation, not approval. Barrel profile, spoke shape, width and offset require the package-specific template.

Are the listed Phantom VIII dimensions final?

No model-wide approval is implied. Each row states its evidence level, and the final rotor, bell, pad and caliper geometry is released only after the exact vehicle review.

Why is the VIN required?

The VIN helps identify production timing and vehicle specification, but it is reviewed with OE brake references, photographs and wheel measurements rather than used as the only fitment check.

Can the factory calipers be retained?

Only when the approved rotor geometry, pad sweep, hydraulic relationship and caliper condition all pass the engineering review.

Are larger wheels required?

That depends on the approved rotor and caliper envelope. Any larger package requires a wheel-barrel and spoke-clearance template before production.

How is the rear parking brake handled?

The rear arrangement is identified from the exact vehicle. Retained EPB operation and any additional hardware are recorded in the approved specification.
